Located in Portlaoise town centre, this €50m redevelopment of an outdated centre provides a Tesco Extra, Pennys and 30 stores over two levels with 1200 basement car parking spaces – all constructed while maintaining a fully operational shopping centre.
The challenge for this project was to make arrangements for an early site start ie to establish a robust basis for funding, for the appointment of a main contractor by negotiation and for controlling costs. Predictive cost reports and regular liaison with funders supported confidence. Building reinstatement assessment for insurance.
